Rod Set Maintenance

Hi ladies,

Last night I did a rod set on my hair using mostly orange and pink/purple perm rods. It came out great, but now I want to know how I can keep it looking fresh for the rest of the week. Am I going to have to set it every night? How do I prevent the bouncy curls from being crushed as I sleep? Do the bonnets really keep the curls in check? I'd love any advice out there. Thanks ladies.

What works great for Me is, a Satin Bonnett, it gathers the hair in a bunch, and keeps it pretty well through out the Night. You may have to poof and puff in the Morning to get it back into shape, but it works fairly well.

ITA that a satin bonnet works wonders! I have also found that if you use a good setting lotion when you first do the set, it will hold your curls a lot longer. I usually do touch and go resets throughout the week ( once every 3 or 4 days) to keep the style.
