I have heard of people doing this and I was wondering how you so it without messing up the definition. Anybody who has done this, can you tell me how to do it w/o messing it up? Thanks!

Although I wouldn't be doing this on my relaxed hair, I'm curious too. I've never heard of this. Twistouts and braidouts already hold the moisture in so I'm wondering why the need to rinse it?

This is usually in reference to rinsing the hair after a sweaty workout. The salt that sweating leaves behind can be damaging to hair.

My hair is currently in microtwists that I plan to rinse in a couple of days. I will be experimenting with a way to do so without losing the twists.

How does this work without turning the twist-out into a wash n go?

My apologies. I mis-read and thought you were referring to rinsing TWISTS, not a TwistOUT. I have heard of twistout wearers being able to do this, but I have never tried it.

I've done it and it basically looks like a chunky fro/wash and go on me. I just let the water run over my hair and that's it. The hair isn't as defined, but the crinkle is still there.

i thin ki understand what u mean. how to maintain the curlyness of the twistout after washing?

well i comb my hair back (turns into a big afro) and rinse my head backwards, i dont detangle, even with conditioner.

after thats rinsed, i scrunch leave in con and moisturizor into my hair and put into a pony. when the hair is near enough dry, i twist my hair into 4's each side. then voila.

i dnt think i could maintain the twistout after washing tho? it just goes curly really
