hello ladies
i 've noticed that some ladies have been talking about rinses after shampoos what is the purpose of the rinse?

BUMP!

I heard some people use them for their detangling properties and slip, but I would think that instead of using them, why not use a conditoner?

some deep conditioners don't provide slip. rinses are thin conditioners that detangle, lower pH, and smooth cuticle. i.e. Suave Naturals Aloe Vera Conditioner is my rinse.

That is true, that is why I only buy conditioners that provide me with slip.

I think a rinse in common is ACV Rinse (Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with distilled water). This is used to clarify the hair from the week's buildup of product, i.e. oils, gels, shampoo. Plus it's also used to close the cuticle after conditioning the hair. The end result is the hair easily detangles without knots and such. And it also lowers the p.H. of the akaline. Maybe you should try the ACV rinse yourself. I really love mine! BTW, a lot of ladies here use the rinse either way, so you'll get the benefits as always.
