Rinse out a no-no??

I was reading the hair no-no thread and it mentions somewhere on there that a rinse out is considered a no on this board. Is this true or am I taking it the wrong way. I bought a rinse out yesterday and I don't want to use it, if it going to cause damage to my hair.

Are you talking about a chemical hair rinse or a rinse-out conditioner?

I'm sorry you got the wrong interpretation. Using the rinse-out isn't going to damage your hair. There was an earlier thread where someone was asking if she should use a rinse-out conditioner before a deep conditioner. A couple people said no, I said it wouldn't hurt as long as you didn't use cold water to rinse out the conditioner, which would be the only thing to close the cuticle and make it hard for the deep conditioner to penetrate:

I use a rinse out conditioner ALL THE TIME. I shampoo and conditioner 2 times a week, but I only have time to deep condition 1 of those times. The other one, I take advantage of all my sweet smelling rinse out conditioners that leave my hair feeling nice and soft w/o the use of heat. My hair loves it.

I love rinse out conditioners too. I use them like mad for rinsing out my henna & indigo. I routinely use them for detangling and pre-poos. When the weather gets warm, I co-wash with 'em too.
