Just wanted to make a post about this for those that don't have a steamer. I use a rick cooker. I got it for $16.00 you can get one at CVS. You can use for your face or hair. It's a steady source of steam. If anyone tries it for your hair let me know how you did it. I've just been using it for my face but I'm going to the steam treatment from the steam thread. If you do one before me let me know.

So funny you posted this. I was watching the steam from my rice cooker thinking, Now that could make a great face or hair steam treatment.

How do you get the rice cooker to steam your hair? I can understand the face because you can easily lean over it. Do you actually put the rice cooker on your head or is there another method to it?

How would that work? I'm having a hard time picturing in my head how a rice cooker could be used for hair. Do you put your head over the steamer or something? How could it work on all of your hair? I can only imagine it maybe being useful for steaming the ends.

You can lean over the steam. If you put it on the floor you can put a towel over your head and just steam in one position and turn around. I guess the maneavuring is going to be the problem. I haven't figured that out totally but if you have any ideas please contribute.
