I tried the Solia 1.25" flat iron for the first time today.

Pros:
1. Adjustable temperature and fast heat up time.
2. Lightweight. After using the maxiglide for over 3 years, I just didn't realize how cumbersome that thing was.
3. Swivel cord.
4. Got my hair "relaxer" straight, but it still feels moisturized and has volume.
5. I smell my leave-in, not burnt hair.
6. Easy to clean.

Possible Con or maybe just my technique:
1. Left my ends slightly poofy.

Overall, I give it an A:yay:

Thanks of the review. I was considering getting it, but I found a maxiglide instead on closeout for $40 and got that, but I still haven't given up on getting the solia

That's the flat iron I have, too. I used it for the hair in my siggy. :lachen: Really, though, I do like that it has temperature control.

I've had my Solia for over a year now. I really really really love it.

I might get a maxiglide to steam my roots during stretching, though.

I also have a solia. I dont find that it leaves my ends poofy at all. But i've gotten my flat ironing down to a near science...at the expense of my hair's health....but nonetheless it get i done quickly! lol. When i first go it i was skeptical because it was so light, it felt like a toy! I love that mine is pink too...was a good investment!
