I agree...the same happened to me...after I found the right products for my hair...it had instantly improved...also I had completely stop using heat...kept my hair up every single day...and washed + deep conditioned my hair once a week and now my hair is the healthiest it's ever been.

ITA with the bolded parts. I can't wait until it gets a little longer, then I will be able to put it up. Right now, it is hard to protect my ends because it is hard for me to have a style with it up. I'm going to start pinning it.

The other day I KNEW I was on the right track when my boyfriend said how much he loved the thickness and softness of my hair.

He's my partner in crime so he would know more than anybody...LOL (he does indeed love deep conditioners...but I'm not supposed to be telling that:lol: )

I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly damaged hair can improve with the right care! My hair used to be much thinner and see-through, breaking and shedding abnormally and so dry. I used direct heat (now I know I was using that improperly) because I didn't think I had a choice. When I stopped using heat and started rollersetting/airdrying for the first time, that's when my hair showed great results in just days and weeks.

I'm still surprised at what my hair can do as I learn and explore new techniques and products. My regimen will continue to evolve as I discover more ways to simplify it.

I saw results immediately when I first began, and now my hair has bounced back again after I stopped caring for it like I should have been for the last half of last year.

Immediately in terms of growth and retention. I think I will need to cut the bottom 1" of my hair that is left over from when I used to trash them.
