Reniece did a BKT Review!

I agree with her. I tried to BKT on Thanksgiving. We had goggles, facemasks, and even tried to do it outside. I ended up washing it out for we got around to blow drying and flat ironing. Even washing it out was a horrible experience. We had running noses, sore throats, and our eyes were burning. I couldn't imagine trying to sit there during the entire blow out and flat iron process.

After we got it washed out my mother said something like, they didn't tell you they were going to try and kill you with this stuff. I simply :look: I will heat train before I try another BKT.

I cracked up when I saw that mask, I was not expecting that. I was expecting just a nose/mouth mask. The music was pretty scary as well. I will never, ever, ever be doing a BKT.

i appreciate the honest review. i keep in mind that was her experience and she shared it with us honestly.

i am glad she did that video for anyone wanting to hear a "worst case scenario", the video lets you know what you could experience.

i also appreciate that since she isn't comfortable with the possible after effects, she has chosen not to make money off it or expose herself or clients to potential harm.

I liked my experience with BKT, and it benefited me during my transition. But I think If I want my hair looser or straighter, I'll heat train it (and not cuz of this vid either). I gave up toxic chems for a reason. I still have half a 32oz bottle of Marcia Teixeira sitting in my closet...might need to Ebay it, LOL.

I was already sure I wouldn't try the BKT after I read all the FACTS on how dangerous this CHEMICAL is. After watching the video, I'm even more convinced. Anything that effects you that way and continues to smell like a chemical long term is not going any where near me.

I feel her video was quite informative.

I know one thing. I will never get any type of BKT treatment (or the like).

No way.

No how.

I saw that vid a while back. I liked it. I've never been interested in the BKT. The amounts of heat needed and used always turned me off and when I saw you need tons of ventilation and masks, I really gave it the side eye. I hope the vid encourages more women to do their research first before just blindly getting it done.
