I am currently using Africa's Best Organics conditioning relaxer regular strength and I like it better than adult relaxers. What about you ladies do you prefer kiddie or adult and why?

personally, i think 'kiddie' relaxers are the biggest marketing scams on the market. those are nothing but regular relaxers, nothing 'child safe' about them, in my honest opinion.

if you want to go with a milder formula relaxer, i would check how far down the lye/no lye is on the list, buy the mild forumla, or dilute it with conditioner or oil.

I would recommend using products appropriate for your hair type and age. Also, I would highly recommend giving lye a whirl as that it's far less damaging to the hair. Using lye relaxes has revolutionized the texture, thickness, and luster of my hair.

Some do have great success with no-lye, but if you're going to use no-lye I would use an adult product that would address your specific hair needs.

But ask around....different strokes for different folks. That's the beauty of the forum...something works for everyone.

My stylist told me years ago that kiddie relaxers and regular relaxers are the same thing.
She told you right. The whole kiddie relaxer thing is nothing more than a marketing tactic.
