hi ladies so i was an idiot and did a retouch without taking off my jewelry at the end of the process my brand new silver necklace is now black :nono: i dont know if or how to fix it so i figured i would ask you ladies. does anyone know if i can get it back to the original colour or is all hope lost

Yes you can fix it. You try just a regular silver cleaner. I think the creamy kind works the best. You can find it at the grocery in the cleaning supply section. You can also try toothpaste. Not the gel kind, the OG paste kind. Use a dry cloth and smear it on the necklace and rub it off with the cloth. It may take a couple times to get it off but it should work. Don't forget to rinse in between. HTH!

I think you can try plain baking soda and a toothbrush, too. If that doesn't work, then go for the jewelry cleaner (sorry, but I go for the cheapest solution first :yep:). Good luck!

Tootpaste actually works well but the best thing is Tarn-x, no scrubbing. It's about $5 at Walmart.

You'll have to do a corrective perm now....

j/k everyone else already made sensible responses..

The above responses (excluding Whimsy :lachen:) will take that oxidation right away. Relaxer is not THAT dangerous. :lachen:

yeah I use the silver wipes from Walmart in the Jewelry section...polishes them right up....

Dang relaxers are no joke for real.....
