So I was reading about the protein conditioner step. I was wondering if I mixed maybe MT with Suave conditioner would it have the same affect?

I think it's better to use a real protein reconstructor for that step. Suave and MT just doesn't seem like it would cut it to me. Better safe than sorry. There are a couple of ladies who have a chemistry background that can probably explain the step better. Hopefully they will chime in.
