Thanks a bunch for your suggestions in advance.

Hi Ngo,

Welcome to the forum.

I've read some members mention that they experience burning if they do a relaxer after working out. That may not happen to everyone, but it's something to consider.

Ngo,

I would say no to relaxing after a workout because the pores on your scalp are open which can/may/will lead to burning, even if you base in some cases. If you must relax after working out, sit under a hair dryer that's on cool setting for about 15 mins (cold/cool air is being blown) out). This will close your pores and dry up the sweat from your workout.

I agree with sweetpea..if you do any kind of sweating the day of or day before, I wouldn't relax. I've done it - it burns like heck!

ditto sweetpea and hairlove
I'm a newbie..and i too have heard, definitely no relaxer after you work out...

Newbie here and unless you want your scalp to be on F_I_R_E!

I wouldn't. I base with oil at home then have the hairdresser base it too. Its is unexceptable to me to have scabs any longer.
