Now before I get a complained that I should search the board and everything, I just want to say: I did, hours and hours, for my own regimen...
I am semi-lurking since years. I am a 3B natural and I have my own hair under control for a couple of years already.
I need to do some shopping for my mom, since she lives in a country with no access to black hair care products, and she is a 4a relaxed...
I know all about the stuff I need for my co-washes, flat-ironing, rollersetting, and everything else I do, but I am not that well informed about relaxed hair.

I need to buy a relaxer, conditioner, shampoo and then some styling products.
I already decided that relaxer is going to be ORS olive oil regular.
But the rest of the stuff... I have no clue!
I am leaving to see her in 24 hours, and I just received this request, accompanied with some money in my bankaccount.

Is there someone who wants to help me out, please?
I need to do the shopping tomorrow, so I will check for replies later today. I am off to pack my suitcase now.

Thanks in advance to whoever wants to give advice, and I am sending you a big kiss too. :yep:

My regimen is pretty simple:

I wash once a week with Herbal Essence Long Term Relationship shampoo & conditioner, which can be found in any supermarket or drugstore.

I rollerset with just water. The only trick is to make sure the hair is soaking wet to make it stick to the rollers.

I just use coconut or olive oil on my hair nightly.

If I wear it in a bun I moisturize with a spray bottle of water and a little conditioner (same conditioner from above).

That's it!!

Shampoo and conditioner can be one that is geared for moisture. Pantene Relaxed and Natural (or any other moisturizing Pantene line) is very good.
A wrap foam is a good, all inclusive, product for rollersetting and wrapping.
If CHI brand is available, I love the Infra Treatment and Straight Guard cream.
Some bobby pins and/or satin covered rollers work great for nightly maintenance. She can dry roll and take them down in the morning with little to no product in between.

Mine is here: http://longing4length.blogspot.com/p/my-hair-regimen.html

I'm relaxed 4b. Good luck!!!

Didn't realize you were leaving in 24 hours! I personally am a natural line fanatic. Giovanni SAS line (shampoo, conditioner and leave-in) is pretty awesome in my opinion, and you can purchase the HUGE bottles at TJ Maxx for $12-13 a piece. I love Jane Carter's spray leave-in as a daily refresher. Unfortunately I have nothing to recommend in the place of my beloved Bee Mine moisturizers available in retail stores.

Shampoo and DC 1x a week

Rollerset the hair with whatever products you like (head on over to the rollersetting thread)

That's it..

Or you could air-dry and flat iron if you wish.

I usually wear my rollerset for a week and then bun for a week or wear my hair straight for a week and bun the following week.

This is my May regimen (i switch products like every season)
Suave Shea and Almond/Humectant for Cowashing when needed (2x a week)--both found at walmart for about 3 bucks for a big bottle
One N Only Moisture Repair Argan Oil For shampoo (2x a week) (10 dollars at Sallys Beauty Supply)
Castor oil for scalp (a bit itchy and heavy though) (ebay/otherwebsites 7 dollars)
Grapeseed oil for sealing-very light oil :) good for scalp, ends, and length, plus its a ceramide oil! (ebay/other websites 7dollars)
One N Only Hydrating mask(moisture) for deep conditioning 2X a month and One N Only Restorative Mask(light protein) 2X a month alternating weekends (both 10 dollars at Sallys Beauty Supply) I highly recommend getting the beauty rewards cards, usually you save the purchase price when you first shop ($5)
Braidouts and buns and straight hair achieved with wet wrapping) for church always airdrying
