...and Straight (say after a wash and set) do you still spray your concoctions in your hair (thinking of Supergirl's new moisturizer) to keep your ends moistened? When exactly DO you use your handydandy spray bottles? TIA

i usually use my spray bottle if im wearing a braid out or just letting my hair airdry curly. If I blowdry or rollerset my hair and wear it straight I spray ORS olive oil sheen spray on my hands rub them together and put it on my ends.

I dont have a spray bottle, CH. I just use the ORS directly on my hair instead of on the comb for my braidout. Maybe I should get a spray bottle.

When I wear my hair out I always spray the ends at least twice a day with my spray bottle(distilled water,EVOO, grapeseed, peppermint, rosemary & lavender oils) to compensate them being exposed.

CaramelHonee - your hair looks great!!!

Thanks Prada.
So you spray your ends with your mix, doesn't that frizz up ur hair - that is, if you wear it straight?

I only use my spray mix (distilled water, lavender, castor and olive oil) when I'm wearing protective styles. I wear mostly, buns or ponytails. I can't use it if I'm wearing my hair straight.

So, do you spray your hair (concentrating on the ends) before putting it in ... say a bun... then spray ur whole head throughout the day and when u take it out the bun when u get home?

I usually spray in the morning before a put it in a bun. It's dry in the mornings so I like to dampen my hair from root to tip just to detangle and give it some moisture. Then, I pile on curl activator gel and slick it back into a bun. I don't spray throughout the day or at night because my hair stays pretty damp all day long. My ends are damp right now from this morning

CH, I can't believe you have questions about haircare. You should really be giving me tips.

hehehehehe... I will always have questions for you knowledgeable women! Always!
Here's another one

So do you believe misting your hair with your mix daily aids in you not getting split ends? (i have a problem with splits ends, they happen to me every 3 months for some reason)

My reason for keeping my hair moist is to control breakage and to extend my relaxers. I already had split ends before I started doing this and I have not trimmed in a long time. I will trim eventually and once I do, I will be able to see what keeps them from splitting.

Yeah CH we should be grilling you for info as you are

for this month!!
In answer to your question - for some reason my concoction does not cause my ends to frizz. Misting the ends has helped me retain my length and prevented alot of spit ends.

I use my spray bottle at night before I wrap or roll my hair. I usually spray my scalp and ends so that the moisturizer can penetrate the hair overnight.

OH crap... i never thought about that - mist, than wrap... i likey

I wrap, then mositurize and then tie it down. I may be backwards though. But its works for me. I like this thread CH, plus I come in to look at your hair, hehee, Im trying to catch up to ya, chica

I don't use my spray bottle when I wear my hair out and straight. I save that for my protective styles (which is 99.9% of the time).

Ur too funny.

After my rollersets, I use only serum on my hair until the next wash. Just a dab of my Semi di Lino serum every morning keeps my hair looking soft and bouncy for a week!! If my edges are puffy, I take some UBH Moisturizer, rub it in my hands and put it just all around my hair edges, including the back.

I'm transitioning but when I wear my hair straight, I don't use spray moisturizers on my hair...only cream or oils.

CH when I wear my hair out, which is 75% of the time I spray it with a mist of H-two and water. It works well and never makes my hair wet. I don't use alot. I do this everynight and every other morning followed by a little serum for sheen and sealing in the moisture from the spray.
