life ain't easy!!
I hear lots of ladies say they have heat damage and I'm wodering Is it just the same as putting a relaxer in? They both relax the curl patteren... I'm so confused please help me ladies.

I understand that but I'm worried about when I'm fully natural and still wear my hair straight as I plan to will I just end up with a head full of natural hair that is damaged from heat?

As long as you don't do it everyday, you should be fine. Make sure your hear doesn't dry out. BKT is also an option.

I'm not natural yet, but I'm sure that some other naturals can chime in with what they know.

Some people don't mind "heat damage" if they never wear their hair curly. It'll hurt your heart to have natural hair with stringy ends - especially if you want to wear it curly.

Some people's hair doesn't heat damage easily. Others, like mine, does. It doesn't mean you can never straighten, but you have to know how much heat your hair can take before it will remove the curl completely.

Unlike a relaxer, heat damage is not uniform. It gives you part afro and part stringy ends (on the damaged parts).
