Relaxed Hair and Highlights

I've had highlights since April,and I'm thinking about getting them done at the end of the month. I haven't had any breakage due to the highlights but I can't decide if I should get them done again. So, for those who have relaxed hair and hilights, how many times a year do you touch up?

I've never been one to look at my hair and say "my roots need a color touch up." I just do them because I want a change. So I may wind up highlighting 2-3 times a year, if that. It all depends on whether or not you wish to maintain it, just a matter of preference. I'm always changing my hair color.

I dont touch up my highlights at all. If I want a completely new color I will do that but I would just get a rinse to cover roots if it bothers me that bad.

When I had highlights I touched up twice a year.
