Relaxed girls, a question.....

When you relax what do you do with the straight parts of your hair??? The back of my hair comes in pretty straight, with the occasional wave but much straighter than the top, do you just apply it there last?? It hardly even needs to be relaxed but you can just relax half of the head.... help

My mother just avoids the straight parts of my hair. She usually starts in the front and finishes the back last.

I have the same problem. I always remind my stylist to start at the top of my head first, and definitely to do the fragile edges (front and back!!) last. But yep, all the hair does get relaxed, he doesn't "not do" the straight parts....

This is one of the reasons why I don't want to touch up my hair cos I'm scared of overprocessing the straight areas. I'll probably wait 6 months or more before I get a touch up.

I too have to again request of my stylist to do the most resistant part first (crown area) and the edges last.

I have to insist that they not do the top/crown of my hair. It is hard to convince them especially with the back being 4b and they get all excited like they going to war or something. when I do it myself I don't do the top at all.
