What is the best relaxer in your opinion? Lye relaxers seem to underprocess me. Even when I tried to texlax, my spiral curls refused to let my hair relax. I never had a problem w no lye straitening my hair. It just caused major dryness. Is there anything to help combat the dryness? I may allow a pro to do my first relaxer. I can't even get this texlaxed mane of mine strait w a blow dryer.:D

I use a mild, no-lye relaxer by Johnson & Co. Ive never seen it in a store, only at the Dominican salon that i go to.

But overall, im an advocate of no-lye..........

You'd def want to stay away from Affirm then, it underprocesses but thats what I like. Designer Touch gets it straighter but not completely straight, I think it could though b/c she doesn't smooth much.

Before I started using Phyto, I used Soft n Beautiful and Creme of Nature, and I really liked both of them. I don't remember my hair ever being dry or underprocessed.
