I use regular castor oil as a preshampoo treatment. I put castor oil all over my hair and keep it on for 1 hr to overnight depending on how time I have. i just put a plastic cap over my head. Sometimes I sit under the dryer for an hour.

Castor oil has worked wonders in thickening my hair. I use it in my Surge mixture along with olive oil. I also mix it in my conditioners and my spray bottle mix. It's a staple for me.

Karme,

In an empty spray bottle, I fill the bottle half way with surge. Then I add castor oil and olive oil (I usually dont measure but I put enough oils in that when I shake the bottle the mixture becomes cloudy). Then spray away :)

do you spray this mixture in your hair everyday?

I use mine as a pre-shampoo treatment twice a week. I put it on my hair and scalp- massage it in and then place a thin, plastic cap on my head- i leave it on for an hour or two and then rinse, shampoo, condition and then deep condition. It works great for me and my hair is thicker and growing- i also put a little jamaica black castor oil in my glycerin/water spritz too.
