Protein boost is an excellent product. I bought it several years ago, but I can't get it now. According to one of the Regis employees, it's a "professional only" product and not sold to "regular" folk like me. 
I have tried the hydrating balm. It has excellent ingredients, but it did not detangle my hair well. I don't remember if it provided a good amount of moisture or not. Sorry.
