Is Yeast infection cream that contains that M ingredient I keep forgetting can cause hair growth when massaged into ones head, then what happens when it is applied for its traditional use? No woman wants faster growing hair there….

I don't know about you, but for me, in that area (when Monistat is inserted for a vaginal yeast infection), there are no hair follicles.

Right. It will only promote hair growth in areas where this is already hair.... and most women don't have hair follicles or hair on the inside of their vagina. Also, the miconazale nitrate needs to be used over a time period in order to promote growth... and most women only need to use their monistat for a few days before the infection is cleared up. So even if the monistat drips out and gets to the outer areas where there is hair.... i doubt if it will lead to any substantial increase in growth.

Folks have asked similarly if other growth products, like mtg, dripping down the neck or face will cause hair to grow on the neck, face, etc. And the answer is, unless you already have hair follicles there and a light downy hair, it wont cause new hair to grow. In other words, if you never had a beard or moustache before, you wont grow a new one out of the blue.

Thanks you guys. I only used yeast infection cream once before and forgot details of its use. But I guess I worried about it getting all over because the one time I used it I recall it got messy. I was young and stupid. Went to the doc to fix the problem later. Anyway, I have a little peach fuzz on my face which is why I did not try Rogaine, heard it can make it worse even if it does not touch the face because despite being a topical it affects hormones or something. Not sure. But there are other issues with it too so no Minoxidol for me.

Since I have been taking MSM, the hair all over my body grows faster, my eyebrows, underarm, everywhere. I think it is working on my body hair more than it is the hair on my head! Using a cream that contain MN has not had that effect, though.

at last 3 months of 3,000 mg of MSM daily along with other supplements for hair and my hair still grows a quarter of an inch monthly :( I had to cut off a foot because of what the hairdresser did to me with the breakage and at 1/4 inch a month....not counting having to cut split ends too...well, by the time I get back what I had I think I would be too old to care :( I wish it worked for me the way it does for you.

Well, I don't MSM is making my hair grow any faster. We'll see. I have been on it for about 2 months now. I will keep it up for now.

Have you ever tried MTG or MN or essential oils or anything?

I say if you want to speed it up, one is worth a try, even for a trial basis. That is how I discovered that MN would work for me. I used it for just 3 weeks and was very happy with the results before I decided to add it to my regimen.

But, otherwise, girl just let your hair do its thing and love your 1/4 inch a month. :) Faster growth can be overrated at times. :)

HOney dew when you say MN you mean the active ingredient in MOnistat and Neo AF right? I began using Neo AF a couple days ago. Is it okay if I dont wash it out a few days? I have not tried the mtg because when I smelled it i thought i would puke. Also since its main ingredeint is sulfur and sulfur is the main ingredeint in the damaging color strippers it was just too much risk although I assume it is different sulfur I am too scared. The bleach incident was just terrible. I posted pics and story but not sure it is a popular place so will repost here too:

I'm confused...Are you massaging monistat onto your scalp???How often do you do this? Nightly? Sorry if I'm last on this train but I've been away from the hair boards for a while. Also, what is Neo AF?

Nevermind about the Neo, duh....

Yes, that's what I mean. i don't use Neo AF or Monistat at all, I use the Antifungal cream by DermaDoctor, but it still has the same active ingredient, Miconazole Nitrate. I found those other's to be too drying. The one by DermaDoctor is moisturizing. it is not that more expensive actually. It is $34 for a 4 oz. tube and it is like applying a moisturizer. (Neo af can be $7-9 for .5 oz) I cannot use MTG either because of the smell. Anyway, this cream has helped me with dandruff and my hair is growing much faster. I only use it 2 times a week.

Yes I am massaging the Neosporin AF at night mixed with an essential oil and carrier oil. Not sure how much Neo to use but at the rate I am using it I won't have any left in a week. Hmmm....not sure how well the Monistat absorbs into the scalp but it sure is cheaper because you get 2-3X more of it for just a couple dollars more. So I may buy that next.
