Recommendations for Good Cream Hair Dressing

I had a stylist recently recommend the following, in her order of preference:

1. Clairol Textures and Tones Cream Hairdressing
2. Motions Cream Hairdressing
3. Mizani Rose H20, I'm not sure if she meant the regular one or the overnight one.

I used the Motions one years ago, and I loved it at first and then I stopped getting the same effect.

My mother loves, and I used to love: Soft & Beautiful Extra Lite Cream Moisturizer. This one comes in a tube and smells like peaches.

2nd the Hair Milk and I really like Cantu Break Cure Strengthening Treatment. It can be used as a leave in, an overnight treatment and a daily hairdressing. I'm on my second jar. Moisturizes really well

3rd CD Hair Milk for light cream hair dressing and CD SOMM for heavy cream hair dressing. I also use her body souffle creams.

my hair loves creams/hates oils. They weigh it down. I use:

profectiv mega growth*
profectiv break free*
profectiv healthy ends*
ors carrot oil (which is creamy)*
john freida relax-daily replenisher(light,but effective)*
razac perfect for perms (creamy)*

**i bought the ors olive oil, jojoba oil & soy oil. they smell heavenly, but are not creamy.
**My sister bought CD hair milk & i'm waiting for her review.

I've got to try Carol's Daughter, but I am so hooked on Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom.

Me too (and Kiehl's Shine 'N Lite Groom (which works just like the Silk Groom - on my hair).

Love this stuff

Yeah that's a good one too!

Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom is good but L'Occitane Ultra Rich Hair Cream is fantastic. The L'Occitane has allowed me to have tangle-free/soft hair 12 weeks after retouch. I love it!

Lala!

Are you serious? Girl--don't tempt me. Have you tried the L'Occitane Shea Butter Masque? I hated it

Okay so tell me more about this cream girl!

when I did use a creme hairdressing on the regular, my tresses loved Textures & Tones Creme hairdressing. aww man i wish I could scan my driver's liscense so u can see the result. I'll have the pic posted soon. I stopped using it when i read from a site that mineral oil and petroleum are evil,... but now that i know that they are not

I might just start using this again.

My hair did not like Optimum Care Moisture Rich Creme Hairdressing

though the ingredients are somewhat comparable to the Textures and Tones one.

Now let me add the disclaimer

- For my hair type 4a/b (I've got serious waves at week 12), the L'Occitane really smoothed and detangled my hair. I've been using it daily.

I did not purchase the L'Occitane Shea Butter Masque because the salesperson said that it would not be compatible with my hair type. He said that it's for fine/oily hair not coarse/dry.

But the cream... now that's another story. I'll be buying another batch this Friday. It smoothes my edges and calms my new growth. It's a keeper.

This week I started using QP Elasta Mango Butter, after I got my touch-up on Saturday. I love the mango butter! It smells wonderful and it's not greasy plus it's light and absorbs into my hair, scalp and ends. So far it's been great

! I'm also trying the Textures & Tones Creme Hairdress after I run out of the mango butter. The mango butter has more in the jar than the Textures & Tones and is cheaper so I might just stick with the mango butter if it still works well after I wash and condition my hair.

i had to make a correction to my post. i never purchased the ors olive oil moisturizer. my sister did. i purchased the others that i stated though. the ors olive oil hairdress is creamy. the ors olive oil moisturizing hair lotion is also creamy. i purchased & used it last night. it smells better than the carrot oil hairdress too. i love it. i use my creams in rotation.
