I received it today, and used it right out of the box because I was so excited!
I bought both the Maxi and the Miniglide.
I am about 20 weeks post relaxer, and ladies, this thing really got my hair straight! It really works, and I think that is the best thing that I can say about them...It is the ultimate tribute to the products!!
THe downside for me was its size...The thing is huge, girls, compared to other flat irons, so I used the mini in my kitchen. I think i like the Mini better than the Maxi! But they both do a superb job...There is a learning curve to it, I must admit tho. It may be a bit awkward to maneuver.
THe other downside, and this is me and my personal hair issues was that it took me over 3 hrs to do one side of my head! But that is me, not the iron. I am almost 20 wks post and my NG was horribly matted and tangled. and I was taking breaks and such.
But all in all, Mini rocks! and Maxi rocks! I found that the Mini got right up on my roots, and I loved that about it. I couldnt get up on my roots that well with the big Maxi, but again, that will come with time and practice.
I highly recommend this iron tho, it is magnificent!

No heat control dial. Did you but his products to use with your iron, too? If not, what products did you use to protect your hair?
