Hello ladies. This summer I was pretty bad about heat and kinda slowed my progress down a bit, but now I haven't used heat in almost a month and not planning on using any anytime soon. I've been bunning/baggying and trying to retain some progress.

My question is this, I think my growth rate is pretty much average. My hair is measuring at 171/2 inches right now with a bit of newgrowth underneath. Is it realistic for me to expect to be at 19 inches by November? By the way, I use no topical growth aides or vitamens or anything (too broke)!

I don't see why you wouldn't. You are looking to achieve and inch and a half of growth in about three months and it seems quite possible.

Not to be nosey but how much heat are you using and how? Heat can be the devil, if it is used too much or on a really high setting. Be blessed :p

Well now I'm not using any heat, but through June and July I was going out a lot, and I used heat three times in June and three times in July. It seemed like a lot to me b/c before that I hadn't been using heat at all.

Assuming that your hair grows 1/2 inches a month, that seems perfectly reasonable. If your hair grows slower, it might not be til Febuary, and if it grows faster, maybe you'll hit it in October.
You are really the only one who knows - how fast does your hair grow? Does it slow down in the fall/winter? How much breakage do you see? How many split ends do you have? All of that is going to factor into whether you will SEE 19 inches by November - no matter how much your hair grows...
