It's POURING here in Jersey....

Even as a natural.... I still HATE rainy days!

So what does everyone do with their hair on rainy days?

Pull it back with a pretty scarf in a baby puff and lol ignore the rain. I'm not a fan of rain either.

Umm nothing :) I dotn mind my hair getting wet.. Its already frizzy and poufy so a lil rain wotn hurt. Even when it pours I just use an umbrella. Ive been fighting humidity and water for my whole life so I just learned to live with it.

If I am wearing my hair down, I just keep it wrapped in a cute scarf until I reach my destination, then I will comb it down. I also always carry some type of clips in my purse so that I can pin it up in an emergency. I just finished my hair and it is raining here right now so I sure will be sporting a scarf of some sort tonight :)

I just got my hair pressed today and I'm pissed! Its been raining all day. So I wore my hair in a wrap with a pretty scarf tied over it.

I usually puff it too, but I forget my ouchless head band when I left the house:-(

Don't get me wrong, I'm not scared of the rain...I don't even pull out my umbrella if it's a light drizzle and I'm just getting in and out of my car or don't have a long distance to walk...but still....I just feel "ick" with my overall appearance on rainy days....maybe it's a mental thing, lol.

I do know a lot of people have rain day do's though, like Hopeful and I usually put our hair in puffs.

I'm relaxed and I never minded the rain. When it's drizzling, I still keep it movin' lol. But if it's pouring like today, I whip out the umbrella and if my hair was already out, it stays out. My hair doesn't frizz or revert-- even if it's out. Or if it does, it's so minimal that I don't notice it.

I'm texturized w/ 7 months of new growth. I have an umbrella, but rarely use it. I love the rain so I just let whatever happens, happen.

Like Macherieamour, I have an emergency kit with me at all times if I am wearing my hair out and it starts. (Last night I went out to 2 parties and it was pouring. I was so happy, that (thanks to my NTM) by the time I got to both my destinations, I didn't have to use my emergency kit b/c my hair was still behaving and laying down very nicely!)

When i wear it in a wash-n-go bun or a bun period, I really don't mind the rain at all though.

I just wear it in a bun. A lot of times I have it in a ponytail anyway, so I just use a pin to make the bun if it starts to rain. (I have hairpins all over the place; in my purse, wallet, car, jeans pockets, backpack, sometimes hooked to my keychain. I can't help it; they're everywhere! :) )

same here.

in MD it has been raining. My BF and I went shopping and then out to dinner last night. My hair was fine.

His 2b hair frizzed up more than my relaxed 4B hair did.

I always have an umbrella in my handbag and if I'm wearing my hair down I might put it in a ponytail to combat the fluff!

Me too. I always have an umbrella in my purse and an extra one in my car (just in case). I'll put on my scarf usually and that's about it. If it's raining hard, I'll put my hair in a ponytail (if it's out).

My emergency stash consists of a satin scarf, Good Hair Days pins and a scrunchie or two.

So1913 - Your hair is beautiful! :yep:

Maaaan, the rain totally ruined my blowout!
i stick it in a ponytail on these days....It's pouring in NY too :(
