Ladies, does anyone know what this is and why is it in haircare products? I asked because I've seen it listed as an ingredient in a couple of hair products that I own. what bothers me is when I did a search on it, all I see is that it has been used for leg cramps and for maleria:eek: WTH! Does anyone know of anything else,as far as what is it suppose to do for the hair? Please help a sista out.

It is used to stimulate growth. In South America, and among some of the African American diaspora. One example of a black owned supplier of a product containing qs is Leanna's Hair CAre Products. Apparently the old grandmothers could tell us more about it as it used to be in hair tonics and grease. I have a concoction but I have been experimenting with the MTG and MN. So qs is next on the list. I will share the results when ever I get going on it. Hope this helps.bonjour

Umm okay, but when I do a search nothing about this product says it can be used for hair or scalp problems. So that was my problem. I wanted to know what I'm putting on my hair/scalp. But thanks and I'll be looking for those results.
