Congratulations Honeycomb!

If your braids are relatively new and still look good, you could just wash and condition them without having to take them out.

(or did I misunderstand the question?)

Congrats.

You should be able to leave them in and wash afterwards. I don't think baptismal water has any chlorine in it.

Thanx Ladies

I haven't had them in but 4 days and I didn't want to have to take them out so soon. I wasn't sure if washing would be good enough. I will be using a cap, but I know once I go under it's gone come off, and get my hair wet.

I wasnt sure if it had chlorine in it either, but I will play it safe and wash afterward. Will a leave-in conditoner be good enough?

first off congrads on comming to God girl!!!!

now on the hair you can wash it but if it you own hair that's braided and not extentions it might get all frizzy so you might wanna take them down.

Congratulations Honeycomb! Just wash and condition your braids afterwards. That should be enough.

Ditto

Congratulations again Honeycomb!

Honeycomb719,

Congratulations on your baptism! I was recently baptized and I had on a shower cap and it did not come off. I wasn't in the baptismal pool very long.

Good Luck,

MissB

Well, Congrats to you too (sister in Christ). I remember when I was 11 when I was baptized and the cap came off it was floating on the water afterwards

Honeycomb,
Many congrats on your baptism! I don't know if you all use robes or not, but if you don't, wear a bra! *laughing* My husband turned my baptism into something X-rated. Shameful, really. *shaking head* I'm sure your braids will be fine with a rinse. I, too, was braided when I had mine done.

Congrats, what religion are you getting baptised into?

I'm Christian. I don't get caught up in the Baptist, Pentacostal, all that stuff, just straight Christian
