Quick question

Good Morning, So yesterday i decided to co wash with Suave tropical coconut condtion. First I rinsed my hair with warm water then appiled the conditoner and my hair was a tangled mess I could barely finger comb it. Then i rinsed it out and tried to use HE hello hydration conditoner and that didnt make a difference either. i went ahead and washed it out then i appiled Queen Helene immediately my hair felt better and i was able to get the tangles out with no problem. I deep conditon for about 15mins under the dryer, rinsed then air dried and appiled my leave in, my hair was back to normal. My question is why was my hair a tangled mess when trying to cowash? Oh and my hair is relaxed I'm like 4weeks post

I know little about relaxed hair but if you hadn't removed shed hair or if your conditioner didn't have enough slip then maybe that was the problem? I imagine Suave isn't as moisturizing as Queen Helene so maybe it made strands stick together rather than slip and slide?

OP thats odd (well not rlly, as many prods which ladies swore by did squatt for my hair), suave coconut was my staple co-washer when relaxed and even now. When relaxed it gave me incredible slip - I mean my hair cud b detangled just by the force of water from the shower head.

was this the first time using this condish to co-wash?

@Nonie, I combed my hair before wetting it, so i'm guessing it didnt have enough slip. @SimJam, I used it when I was natural it was great, but it didnt have the same effect on my relaxed hair not sure why.
