When I wash my hair it feels very very soft( this past wash it felt a little mussy). Should I do a protein treatment even though its not breaking?

Thanks Ladies in advance for your advice :)

yeap, I would do a light protein treatment with something like Motions CPR (my fav) or Aphogee 2 min Reconstructor.

See how your hair feels after this & after your next wash to determine if you should use a light protein 1x per week or 1x every 2 weeks. HTH

I was having this same issue...mushy hair. I was even offended when I went to get a dominican blowout about 6 weeks ago and she scrunched her face at me and told me my hair was too soft and asked if I was using conditioner too much . I ignorantly thought there was no such thing as "too soft" but I now realized she meant "too mushy."

Since then, I've kept my moisturizing the same but upped my protein game by doing Emergencee two weeks before and after relaxing, doing light protein pre-poos with Aubrey's GPB before my weekly wash, and occasionally adding a little keraphix to my deep conditioner. Doing this has really made a difference. I feel like my hair has a bit more integrity, if that makes sense. I don't know if you want to do a hard protein treatment but I like msshics suggestions for some light protein options.

Thanks for responding. I have not did a protein treatment since 2 weeks before my relaxer. That was 4 weeks ago.

Since I am 2 weeks post, I might try a hard protein to see if that works. Like I said before my hair is not breaking and I want to keep it that way.
Thanks for your advice.:)
