I have read through many threads on henna and cassia but I wanted to know do you all wash your hair first and apply after with wet hair or do you apply it to dry hair and wash out and condition like a pre poo? I am thinking about doing this tonight and leaving it in over night thanks a bunch in advance.

I've done it either way, and personally, I find that I prefer doing it on dry hair, as I leave it on for a LONG time, and putting it on dry hair reduces the amount of 'drippies'.

I also add conditioner TO my henna to get a one-two punch combo...

When I used Cassia I did it on dry hair. I added conditioner, yogurt and/or oil to the Cassia to make it easier to apply and easier to rinse out.

I use it on freshly washed and dried hair. I add distilled water, molasses and acv and mixed it to the consistency of cake batter. The last time i did it- i dint let it sit for the requisite 15 minutes before i applied it- but It gives a moisture retaining effect- even though i didn't quite get the shine i hoped for.
