I am doing a henna right now and would like to know if any naturals flat-iron their hair right after using the henna when it dries?

I'm not sure if it would strip the hair...etc....sounds silly I know, but this is my first round.

Thanks

bumping....anyone?

I've done it with no problems. But remember that sometimes you may not get 100% of the henna out of your hair when you rinse (which is okay).

I get as much as I can out the first rinse and then wash or cowash again the following day to get everything completly out - then I will rollerset or flat iron. It would be a waste to put all that heat in your hair and then have to wet it again the next day.

douglala, I wondered about that. Some of the henna is still there. I appreciate you mentioning that. You must have known that I was going to include that here, but changed my mind because I just wanted to know first if the flat iron could be done. I just conditioned it with an ayurvedic conditioner and rinsed it out since I shampooed it last night.
Thanks a lot.

 Hi Kinikakes,
It's nice to hear from you.
Yes I will let you know.
I'm so surprised I was able to use a conditioner on my hair and it did not take it out.
I suppose it's because it's with ayurvedic herbs.
I'm already taking ayurvedic herbs anyway for health and such, so I figured why not try an ayur conditioner.
