I want to do my second henna tonight because I'm bored. I have 1 box of Jamila (100 grams). I want to do it thinner than last time so I can be out of the shower in an hour or less then time on the removal end. Last time I used 2 boxes, but have this one sitting here and I was thinking if I stretch it with olive oil or coconut oil, things should be ok.... right? I don't care about the color again. I hope someone's up and can help a novice out.

Hey I don't see anything wrong with it. I know a lot of women do this and get good results, although I have heard that adding oil to henna can reduce the effects. Now I don't remember if that pertains conditioning effects or color, but enough women have said that they do this on the regular and get good results.

Plus you can always do a gloss and do half henna half conditioner too.

Thanks! I just didn't want to hinder the henna too much. I'll do a full and proper treatment in a couple of weeks- this is just a whim. I'm off to get started.

Oh yeah and if you just did one and will do a full one again soon than this will be perfect. You wont need a full treatment anyway, the results will still be on point.

Okay I know you just did your quick henna treatment... but next time when you do your full head application, rinse your hair in the tub first, then drain and rinse in the shower. I did this and I got my thick hair rinsed clean in 15 minutes in the shower.

I have thick hair so, this is the best way for me. :yep:

I honestly, after having done the quickie, think that I had it WAY TOO THICK the first time. I got a headache from the weight of it. This time was not nearly as grueling. Adding a little coconut oil seemed to help too. It didn't harden up on me this time. Last time even with the plastic on my head it settled into a mud helmet, or near enough to it. Of course I had it on a lot longer that time too.
