I went swinning in cholrine water 5 weeks ago when I had cornrows. Everytime I went swimming I just rinsed the chlorine out. When I got back from my vacation I shampooed an conditioned and then put it back in cornrows. My question is was I suppose to use a clarifying shwmpoo instead of regular shampoo to get the chlorine out?Because now my hair seems dry. What clarifying shampoo is the best ?

Yep, you should've used a clarifying shampoo to ensure that the chlorine was thoroughly rinsed out. I recommend pantene's clarifying shampooo:

I am five months post relaxer. Is the Pantene shampoo going to be drying to my hair. Because if it is then I will have to deal with major tangles.

I know Sally's sells a shampoo by Ion for swimmer's, and perhaps a conditioner my Aunt swears by. You may be better off with the Pantene though if you're not swimming regularly. For future reference though I think soaking your hair with bottled water before you swim is a good idea so maybe your hair doesn't absorb as much chlorine.

Any clarifier will be somewhat drying to the hair, some more drying than others. I've found that pantene rinses away buildup without drying the hair too much. To prevent tangles and restore the moisture, always follow up with a moisturizing conditoner. When I clarify, I following up with pantene smooth and sleek conditioner; it works great for me! My hair feels really soft and manageable afterwards.

If your hesitant to try this b/c you feel it may dry out your hair, I think you should go with other recommendations but keep your receipt in case you need to shop around until you find what does work for you
