Ladies, I have several questions. I will be taking my braids down next week and since my hair is very greasy and always has been, what shampoo can I use to remove all the residue? CON is good but I does not seem to remove the oily feeling from my hair. Also I am going to do the Aphogee treatment, but I want to know If I can use both the Intensive Two Minute Reconstructor along with the Balancing Moisturizer. Lastly, for a hair oil, which is best to use, Kemyi Oil or Wild growth oil?.....

You need to use a clarifying shampoo to remove all of the grease and residue. If you are doing the Aphogee treatment for damaged hair you shouldn't need to two minute reconstructor because you're already doing a heavy duty protein treatment, just make sure to rinse well and then add the Balancing Moisturizer. As for hair oil if you want something light to add shine I'd use Kemi Oil, but if you want something heavier that will make your hair straighter when you blow dry I'd use the Wildgrowth Oil, just don't use too much I use about a quarter size amount on each half of my head.

Thanks Ms Kenesha, What Clarifying shampoo do you recommend? Also, can I use the two minute reconstructor as my weekly conditioner?

I'd recommend Herbal Essences Clarifying Shampoo and only use this when needed about once a mth at the most. I have the two minute reconstructor, but I think I only used it every two weeks because I worry about too much animal protein drying out my hair.

I like Suave clarifying shampoo myself. One it's cheap and too it does it's job. One member like doing an apple cider vinegar rinse to cut down on the grease.
