So...i hear a lot of mention of oils both during your dc and "sealing" after your leave in i think???? Do i have that order right? What type of oils should i use? I know this is a silly question but i just want to makes sure i have it straight. Thanks in advance!!!
Some folks add oil to their conditioner. Others put conditioner on their hair, heat up some oil and put oil on top of the conditioner
You can use any type of oil you want, EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), coconut oil, jojoba oil, emu oil, avocado oil.... Any oil you can think of, you can use
thanks! if you add it to your conditioner is it still necessary to "seal" after washing? I am the most confused about the sealing thing, the "when" and "why"
Maybe I'm being over conscious with this, but after ever wash, even after I have done an oil rinse or after a dc, I moisturise my hair (keracare or elasta qp moisturiser) then I 'seal' the moisturiser with Vatika Oil.
I moisturise and seal twice a day coz' my hair needs it.
I ALWAYS seal my ends. I have to use thick products when I seal. I've used dozens of oils, hair butters, and even vaseline (on just the ends) to seal. I've even used a thick hair gloss to seal. Sealing hold the moisture (water & moisturizer) in the hair strand and stops it from evaporating out.
i wonder if the process is a little different for nautral like me whose hair has to detangled to properly seal all ends, I am assuming you just add oil to end, no special technique right? Now that i am in twists, washing is a breeze so i guess i can try sealing this week when i DC.
