1.When you go to relax your hair, do you use any sort of base on it besides vaseline around the hairline? If so, where do you buy yours

2. I have really bad temple damage near the front hairline. Is there anything I can do besides not relaxing that part to get it back? I had been using some Doo Gro stuff but it smelled icky and made me hair feel funny. Now Im using this Dr. Miracles stuff for the Nape and Temple but Im not sure if that is helping at all.

TIA!

When I relax with phyto I use the base that comes with the relaxer, I put it all over my scalp not just around the edges.

Surge has been good for brining back temple areas, just make sure you use a good moisturizer after spraying on those areas. Also Wild Grow has also been known to help out thinned out areas.

Maybe you can relax your edges every other relaxer. That is what I do. I know it can be a pain when you have a low cut but, girl, you have to do what you have to do. I have also been using the Nexxus Biotin Creme and it has helped me.

Yes the phyto relaxer comes with this:
Pre-Care Balm: Corn-Germ Oil - Protects the sensitive skin and scalp areas

I use castor oil on my edges and that has helped. Also, wait until the last possible minute to relax it.

I just made my purchase from http://www.beautyofasite.com/.

I chose to order from this site because they are running a sale on the relaxer and they have a sale on the variety package of Phyto products.

The relaxer was 45.00 (normally 60.00 on other sites) and the variety package was 25.00 (normally 40.00 on other sites). With tax, my total came to $80.95. Not too bad.

I would also like to know where the phytorelaxer users are buying their products from.

Some ladies go to stores in their area. Others purchase online. Here are 2 online sources:

1. Beautyofasite.com - the relaxer is 45.00 +shipping
2. hairboutique.com - relaxer is 60.00 no shipping

I never base my scalp, which is kinda crazy b/c it's on the sensitive side. But w/Phyto I get no burning or discomfort so I don't worry about it. I used the pre-care balm that comes in the box around my hairline just to see what 'basing' is supposed to do. It was much lighter than vaseline, so I forgot I'd even done it! I buy my relaxer from hairboutique, though I do plan to try this other site soon. All of my other Phyto stuff I bought from Neiman's and Sephora. If your Neiman's has a salon they should carry the PhytoRelaxer ($60).

As far as thinning I always grab the Surge bottle. I noticed my hairline looking weak in a few pics so I've just been squirting on wash days. Thickened right back up. :)

Yvette, what's in the variety package that you're referring to, and where on the site can I find it? I found the relaxer, but couldn't locate the variety package. Thanx!:)

When your package comes in the mail, could you give us a review of the products in the variety package? I'm a little curious, because I tried one of their shampoo and it gave my hair tons of moisture.
