I went to the Aveda store to smell their products and just look around, but somehow I ended up leaving with $53 worth of stuff. Anyways I don't feel too bad about falling off the wagon and buying things b/c my hair is really damaged and after doing a wet test on my hair, I have come to the realization that I need more protein in my regimen. The lady at the store said that I should use it once a week to get my hair back in shape. Has anyone gotten protein overload from using this stuff? Should I use this and alternate with another product to prevent overload? The lady also said that the product was really concentrated, so I only needed to use a dime sized about, otherwise I would just be wasting product. Is this true? I mean I have a really big head and bsl hair, so I find it hard to believe that I can make a dime sized amount stretch that far. Has anyone else been able to stretch a dime sized amount out to work for them?

Which products did you buy? The normal conditoner or the Treatment? I can use the conditioner every week as my DC with no adverse effects (no likey strong proteins), but the Treatment I use sparingly...and with a moisturizing DC afterwards. I can use just a small amount to cover my entire hair, you don't need to be heavy handed it is very concentrated.

This line turned my hair around :yep:

ok this is good to hear. i have the damage remedy restructuring shampoo and the damage remedy intensive restructuring treatment

I have both the Damage Remedy Shampoo and Treatment but I stopped using it a while ago because it made my hair soo dry. I hate putting oil on my hair because it weighs it down so much. How do you use it? :wallbash:

I use the poo and the regular conditoner once a week, they're a very nice protein/moisture blend to me.

I use the Treatment as needed, which is like once a month. I also do a moisturizing DC after the Treatment. It will dry your hair out since its not moisture, its a protein treatment.
