I just came back from a PJ trip and I almost bought these two items.....but I decided that I have an advantage that many BPS customers don't--I have you guys. So before I bought I wanted to ask you guys....

10 en 1----I read the jar but I still couldn't tell if it was supposed to be moisturizing or protein. Does it give slip? It wasn't that expensive but I'm trying to keep my products down to a minimum.

Aphogee---does anyone here use this stuff? I've heard about it for years but have always been too scared to try it. What are your opinions on it?

Thank in advance for sharing.

Daviine,

Aphogee is wonderful! When I had a terrible relaxer (about 4 years ago) it was the only product that brought my hair back. Just make sure you follow the directions to a tee. Also, make sure you don't use Aphogee if your pores are open (like after vigorous exercise). I did this about 4 weeks ago, didn't experience any hair damage but it sure did burn!

Bottom Line: Once you get past the smell, Aphogee when directions are followed, is wonderful! Oh and Motions CPR is fabulous as well.

Hope this helps,

A.

Hi Daviine,

I don't know about the other thing but the Aphogee is really great, especially if you have a relaxer. I had a relaxer and used the Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair, the reconstructor , moisturizing conditioner and the stinky aphogee treatment. That stuff will save you from losing all of your hair.

I used the Aphogee Treatment a week before my relaxer touch-up and I must say I loved it. Again, follow the directions. My shedding has gotten much better. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

i've never heard fo the 10 en 1. the aphogee is too strong unless i have serious breakage. i really don't care for it. i prefer protein treatments that have one step. some people love it though... you know everyone is different. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think its by Miss Key. It's a Dominican conditioner. I THINK Tracy uses it but I know I heard of it from this board..well..the one before this one.

Oh I like the Aphogee alot. My stylist uses it on my every six weeks. I DON'T like that she charges $15 extra. On the other hand the treatment really stops breakage and is good for the hair....

Just bought Miss Key's 10 en 1 (from a Spanish grocery store in Norcross, GA) and I'm wondering the same thing. I've heard good things about it but don't remember how it was used. How long do you leave it in? Help!

I like 10 en 1. It works on my hair like a cholesterol conditioner. My hair feels a little stiff after using it. I need to use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards. It smells great, though!

Hydrolyzed wheat protein is the 9th or 10th ingredient. It also contains mineral oil and dimethicone. (I know some people want to avoid mo and cones...)

I use it without heat for about 30 minutes. Then I follow up with my beloved Mizani Moisturfuse.

girl i HATED the 10n1 conditioner..I started using them for coating my ends as a preshampoo..couldn't figure out what to do with it. Matter of fact, you can keep the rest! It didn't give me and slip..nothing but hard dry hair..it is supposed to be a moisturizing deep conditioner. Aphogee has given me major problems in the past..I think it is meant for EXTREMELY damaged hair..not people who think their hair is damaged and wanted to give their hair extra treatment (like me) it made my hair hard and tangled..no moisturizing conditioner softened it.

I guess I'll just stick with the rinse then. At one time, I was interested in trying out the conditioner.

I have used aphoghee in my teen years (about every 2 weeks, hey, i didn't know anything about protein and not one of the stylist said a thing) and I loved it. I just recently went back to it (the smell was nostalgic and overwhelming, I even smelled it as I slept..lol), but overall, IMO, it does what it says it will do.
About the Diez y Uno, tried it once, but the jury's still out on it. I haven't given it the old college try so I plead the 5th.

I've never used the intense Aphogee treatment but for those of us who want to prevent damage and want a lighter protein treatment, their 2 minute reconstructor is really good..

I actually saw the 10 en 1 the other week..I might try that one day (maybe this summer)..
