Question, will castor and coconut oil keep hair from reverting?

I read on a post somewhere, where someone use a mixture of castor and coconut oil on their hair (can't remember if it was during or after they straigthen their hair) to keep it from reverting? Wondering if has anyone else has tried this?

I love Coconut oil for my presses, I'm not sure if it stops reversion though, I know it helps it from being dry and fly away and smooths it out and gives it shine tho
