Now that are using the LML system, How often do you relax? Is it less than before? Are you waiting longer periods between relaxer? Do you find it easier to strech out your relaxers? I would love to hear about your experience

.

thanks...

Sorry I didn't see your msg last night.

I neither relax nor texturize but we talked before about how curly I am (we sounded much alike if I rmbr correctly?) and I did see a change in my texture shortly after I started using it.

You might check with Shana if she's around. I know she relaxes and she did specifically mention a change.

Just give me a yell if you have more questions.
HTH.

LML is Louise Marie Longhairs, a long hair salon in Canada. There was a thread about her horn combs and then about her products about a month ago when Shana first started using it.

I've been using it for over 5 months and love it. It comes with a membership that has 6 months worth of everything, even combs/brushes. She sets you up in an online diary too so she can talk to her everyday. Caramelbarbie lives in Toronto and has been to her salon this month. I hope to go this month or next.

She has the membership available or the BTN duo - just shampoo and conditioner - to start with. I think that's what angelsandrainbows is referring to.

Re: Paging Shana & caramelbarbie : Longhairs users

Howdy, this is Shana
I have noticed a change in my texture and strength. I have only been using the BTN duo because my Magic Pack hasn't arrived yet. The BTN duo is making a remarkable difference. I notice that my hair does better when I wash it more often (daily). I am using the bliss tips end oil and I am starting my 18 SOS scalp oil. Mail takes a long time to arrive at the APO (I live in Germany), so LML sent me some free stuff to tie me over until it arrives...and my hair is feeling great.
I spoke with her about how weak my hair is since I was deployed to Iraq for a year and we talked about me texturing instead of relaxing bone straight. It is doing a lot better now that I am texturing. I enjoy my conversations with LML. She knows a lot about hair irregardless of color.

Re: Paging Shana & caramelbarbie : Longhairs users

Thanks Shana... Great news and info. I took Balleryn's suggestion and re-read your original post but I apprcaite the additional info. I have spoken briefly with Louise twice now and I am pretty sure that I will be order the magic pac next week. I currenly texturize 2-3 times a year. Shedding and tangles are my biggest problems well I don't comb everyday just when I wash to that may not be helping*** I digress***. Return home soon & in the same or better condition than in we send ya over, OK. Understood, that's an order.

Be safe and thanks...

Re: Paging Shana & caramelbarbie : Longhairs users

HI all I live in Canada and would like to get in touch with her can any one tell me how?

Re: Paging Shana & caramelbarbie : Longhairs users

I am glad that you are going to Magic Pack. One of my biggest problems was sheddign too. I am still shedding a bit. My hair is getting toned from using the LML products. I know that you can't expect the shedding to stop overnight. I actually noticed more shedding at first. According to LML, the old, non-flourishing hairs need to be removed from the scalp so that the healthy hair can strive. At first, I did not quite believe. Now, I am a believer. Enjoy your MP. I am excited. Ask LML is you can join the tribe with me (Sprite)and Pinky. That way, we can all talk about our progress. She just doesn't want us giving one another hair advice when we chat in our "tribe" so that we don't trip one another up. She readys the on line diary that you keep with her and she helps you make improvements to your hair routine. So, we can actually mess one another up. She teaches you to pay attention to how your hair reacts to the different shampoos and conditioners and she makes recommendations based on your progress and what you write in your diary.
I asked her what it is that makes my hair dry out all of the time. She said, it is the stuff in comercial products. They way she says it is that dry hair care products never correct the problem, you just have to keep using them because they continue to dry the hair out (they enforce the situation instead of correct it). Once you start the dry hair care line, you are in it for life. She told me to avoid products with sulfates, alcohols, pertrolatum and silicones (similiar to what ladies on LHCF tell you). Once I got all of the cones and sulfates off of my hair, I noticed that i had little sticky-outies all over the place. But, my hair feels so much better after getting this coating of junk off of it. I am guessing that the cones had my hair stuck together (they filled in the gaps to make my hair appear to be healthy), so once the garbage was off, the weak parts went ahead and broke off. But, i am experiencing faster growth and the hair on my head is looking better than ever. So, I will replace all of the bad hairs soon!!!

Angels.. I got your note this morning. What a sweet mommy you have! I'm very glad that you got your Magicpack this weekend. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. xoxo

Kaykay did you find what you were looking for? If not pls lemme know. Sometimes she has lotsa clients so it's easiest to make a phone appt. Feel free to let her know that you talked to us.
Edited to add: - Before I forget - caramelbarbie also lives in Canada and she has been to her salon and really enjoyed herself. She's an MP'er also in case you're seeking a fellow Canadian.

Sending a hug to shana and to soulchild. I think I've been missing you guys lately. We seem to be on at opposite times lately. Take care.

Re: Paging Shana & caramelbarbie : Longhairs users

Sorry I didn't see this post. I haven't been online much.. I am in LOVE with all of the Longhairs products. I think Shana and balleryna have given you most of the info you needed about her products.
I relax my hair every 3-4 months depending on the growth. I don't have any plans to change this.
Since using her products and washing my hair every day my hair is easy to detangle, stronger, smells great and is very touchable. I normal just wear my hair back in a phony pony. Her hair gel does the trick.its not greasy, it holds my hair in place but its not hard and crunchy either

LM is very informative and really does what she can to help her clients.

I hope this answers your question. Feel free to pm me.

Wow! So using "moisturizing" shampoos do nothing to help dry hair? I wonder what really makes Louise Marie's shampoos and conditioners so great since she doesn't list ingredients...I'm assuming that she doesn't use sulfates since you say she speaks against this. What do you mean by "sticky outies"...are silicones that bad? Did you use her shampoo to get rid of all the "bad stuff"? Why can't one just use a "clarifier" to get rid of these things from time to time? Louise Marie may be on to something but I can't afford her magicpack nor do I like the idea of washing my [natural] hair everyday. What is Louise Marie's number... I might give her a call so she can answer my questions since most people have a hard time with her website and sending her emails...

Re: Paging Shana & caramelbarbie : Longhairs users
