I want to try this for my last wash before relaxing. Will it straighten my new growth too much for the stylist to be able to see it(the new growth)? I'm thinking it won't but just want to make sure. I'm a 4a/4b.

TIA!

Girl, I can't tell your newgrowth from the relaxed hair. I didn't get those kind of results from MSM>

You can't??? Stop messin' w/ me. You can see that... right? :Blush2: Yeah, MSM is workin' my new growth. But I thought you could tell where the new growth stops and starts, at least a little.

I think you'll be ok, but I guess it really depends on your hair texture. Here's a picture of one of my ponytail rollersets http://images15.fotki.com/v267/photos/4/435236/3175975/000_0515-vi.jpg?400337. Although the bands are still in you can see there's about 1 inch of new growth and 1 inch of processed hair before each band.

What did you use to secure your ponytails? Are those little black elastics? Do you just cut them out once your hair is dry?

Oooo, that came out pretty! :) What did you use on your hair before rollersetting?
Nothing, I was in a hurry and forgot. So it was basically just washed, conditioned and rolled. I usually use Lottabody, a leave-in, and oil. Now I use Jane Carter's Wrap and Roll. Lottabody made my hair too dry.

If there's processed hair BEFORE the band, I can't tell.:)

Oh yeah. I forgot about that part. I will never-ever use those little black rubber bands again. I did have to cut them out. :angry2: I also put them in much too tight. Now I use the big nylon bands and only wrap them around 3Xs or so.

Then, Alexstin, I take it back. Do a regular rollerset instead of the ponytail. :look: I can probably see my demarcation line because I know where it is...

I really do try not to be crazy in public. :ohwell:
