Nappy and Happy
I plan to get tree braids this March but it has been a long, long time since I dealt with braids and such.

Is there a brand of synthetic hair that is washable? I'm a stickler about the cleanliness of my scalp and I don't want to be walking around for a month or two with a stank scalp.

Human hair is an obvious solution, but it's also expensive. :ohwell: Tell me ladies, will I just have to suck it up and pony up the dough, or is there a synthetic option out there?

I believe all extensions are washable. How well the style holds up just depends on technique. I use kanekalon for everything, and have had no problems with it. I think there is even the heat-resistant variety for weaves these days.

Yup, they're all washable. I've always use kanekalon. This last time I washed about once a week. I left all the conditioner in (on the length of my hair) because that way I was sure my hair was getting the moisture it needed.

I'm have Kanekalon braids now (I usually use human hair). I have no problems washing my hair. Those tree braids look nice. I may try those next time.
