Question for rollersetters

I think the size of the roller probably depends on two factors: (1) how curly do you want your hair and (2) how fast do you want your hair to dry. When I use larger rollers, the curls aren't as small or tight and my hair dries faster. If I am going to wear a wrap, I use the largest rollers possible.

When hair takes much too long to dry with the current rollers.

Some of the ladies always use medium-sized magnetic rollers and just increase the number of rollers rather than go to a larger size. This was done mostly because hair dryers couldn't accommodate very large rollers. As of the last couple of years, that has changed with the new hair dryers (like the ION dryers).

As for me, I usually airdry my hair overnight in jumbo-sized rollers so that my hair is near dry when I wake up.

When your hair takes longer to dry, and when your hair is too thick around the roller causing the claspe to place creases in your curls.
