well since I dont apply anything to my scalp, my scalp stays relatively clean by rinsing it with just water. I do co washes but I dont know if that helps or not. My scalp is flake free

well I know too much lather isnt good for my hair. I think the more sulfates it has, the more lather. If you want some lather, use pantene clarifier

I use less than a dime sized amount and my hair suds up like nobody's business.

Thats why I use it everyother month. If I use to much my hair feels like hay

I stopped because those fancy words in the ingredients were stripping my hair butt naked. It's great for removing dirt and such but you have to STOP when you're taking my natural oils out. I clarify using a Baking Soda mixture found here under Treatments. My natural sheen comes out after doing this

It does taking getting use to. I must admit I really miss the lather. In between clarifying I made my own cleanser made of natural herbs and oils. I think I'm gonna make it available to LHCF members when I get enough money to buy my ingredients in bulk.

I noticed that the no poo didn't work for me during the time where I was piling products in my hair everyday. ome time to no poo, it wouldn't work and my scalp would stay gunky. I learned to use less product (at this point I only leave in my conditioner in my hair and rub oil over it), so that come time for no poo there's not much that I need to clean. The purpose of the no poo is to re-tame my hair from the day and to infuse moisture into my hair. If my hair is really dirty, I'll have to use my shampoo. I can generally hold out on shampoo for 3 weeks or so with my new regimen.

well, my scalp gets pretty yucky quick, but i usually can just scrub with the conditioner and it'll be ok....if its really bad and i dont feel like shampooing my entire head, then i put a bit of shampoo on my fingertips and just wash my scalp...also, ACV rinses help

well i only shampoo my hair twice a month, especially during the times when i have build up and my hair feels limp. when i do poo i use a natural poo with out the sulfates or low sulfates. During the times i do not poo i treat my scalp to a tea tree oil treatment

. i dab tea tree oil on a cotton swab or q-tip and rub it on my scalp. It tends to work like a charm for me

. You really can not go wrong for tea tree oil it is an natural antiseptic
