Ok first of all I am NOT transitioning anymore....

. After debating about continuing with it and going back and forth I came to the conclusion that it is best for me to go back to relaxing since I prefer to wear my hair straight most of the time....I know Hairlove

....
I relaxed my hair yesterday (all my new growth since Dec 2002) with my favorite African Pride in regular. I was thinking about trying something new but then I was thinking about the good results I always had with African Pride so I used that again.

Now to my question, has anyone here had good results with any products of the Mane and Tail line? I just purchased the leave in at Sally's and I just put it in my hair after washing it. So I can't say anything yet about my results. But I'm also interested in the shampoo and conditioner.

Also, to all the ladies that know me....

Regarding Mane and Tail, all I've heard were negative things about the line so I never wanted to try it. I hope the leave-in works out for you. What happened to Pantene?

You will most likely turn into a PJ for sure because those BSS in Maryland has all the goodies.

How long did you transition and how much growth increase did you see after the relaxer? Sorry I don't know much about mane and tail.

I used Mane and Tail in high school - about 10 years ago now and I don't remember too much about it but I know I didn't purchase it any more. I must not have liked it or it didn't do anything for my hair. (it was the shampoo I used)

yes, when I find a product that works for me I usually stick with it and try not to let anybody influence me or turn me into a pj

. Hmmm I hope the leave in will work for me. I haven't heard ANYTHING at all about that line.
I haven't really seen the Pantene so I gave the Mane and Tail a try. I really want to try the new Neutrogena line...

what does BSS stand for? I don't think I have seen one yet...

..I transitioned from Dec 02 until yesterday

. You know what it was really hard for me to see where my natural growth ended and my relaxed growth started. I couldn't really tell but since I never had any problems with overlapping I just applied the relaxer a little longer than bob length. So when I take the front of my hair I applied the relaxer down to somewhere between my chin and shoulder. And I did that all over.

now regarding Mane & Tail. i tried it once and let me just say it was collecting dust in my closet for about 6 years until i gave it away. it left my hair dry. i had the same results i get from Infusium products. however, my cousin loves it. she has type 3c hair and her hair is very soft and shiny from using it. i also have a coworker who uses it. she has wavy type 3a hair i believe. she wears her hair in it's natural state most of the time and it's always shiny and soft as a result of using her Mane & Tail products.

I remember seeing your pics back when I first joined LHCF and I remember that you have some AMAZING hair and that you are super pretty!

Just wanted to say welcome back to the Relaxer clique, lol...

I have not tried Mane and Tail, but always see it at Wal Mart but, never tried it due to the overwhelming amount of negative reviews. Of course your mileage may vary so if you've got money to burn then give it a try.

I can't believe you relaxed after transitioning so long

but I think with all of the great information you've learned from the forum, that your hair will be beautiful whether it's natural or relaxed! Congratulations on making a decision and being in the states! BTW - You're still one of my inspirations!

I still need to get my license..and I have to go through a 3 hour drug and alcohol class at the college...and I don't even drink...but anyway...y'all are so nice. That's exactly what I like about this board. Nobody expects anything and you won't get stoned for doing what you believe is best for you and your hair.

Nay- isn't your hair naturally curly? Did you relax it and this is why you were transitioning?
