 I have done so before.

Really? Cool did you notice a difference. How much oil did you add to the amount of relaxer??

I'll have to measure my relaxer b/c I have a huge salon size tub of relaxer.

I'm sure it's okay. Motions does it. At least they say they do. I don't know how much to add though. I would guess not too much that way you don't weaken the strength of the relaxer much.

i think i did it on my last relaxer which was with the affirm mild relaxer ..i added i think something that i got from aphogee the primrose oil in i think about an capful with the relaxer and mixed it...i may try it again with my next relaxer application...just go in and read the back of the bottle for the aphogee primrose oil you can get it from a Beauty supply store because i think they have a instructions on the back of the bottle of how you can add it to your relaxer...its like a brownish color...i remember reading it that someone off of LHCF does it when they relax their hair and thats where i got the idea from..

I added some oil to a relaxer before. It weakened the strength of the relaxer and I had to leave it on a little longer, but it gave me more time to work on the other hair sections:) .

that's great because sometimes those relaxers can be a little harsh.

I've added approx. a couple of tablespoons of EVOO to my relaxer and it gave me great results! BTW, I used Soft & Beautiful No-Lye Relaxer.

I have the aphogee EFA oil... the instustions say add 1 to 1.5 teaspoons to the permanent wave solution... it's so funny that it says nothing about relaxers, but it's a line that is marketed towards black people. Anyways, you could follow those directions for a relaxer too.
