Question About My Daily Moisturizer (Darcy's Leave-In)

I have been using Darcy's Botanicals leave-in for about 1 month. I notice that when I first used it my hair was soft, but now sometimes when I use it my hair feels like I was using gel, kind of stiff and dry like. What do you think is causing this? I've heard someone mention on this board before about glycerin not working out good during the winter months. It has been cold here lately and the ingredients includes glycerin, could this be the problem?

Thanks.

Yes, it could very well be the glycerin in it. I tried Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream(it has glycerin too) and it dried my hair out lol. Glycerin seems to have a negative effect on my hair, no matter what kind of weather.

I heard the same thing. Someone stated before that humectant products have an opposite effect in the colder times. Instead of drawing in moisture it suck it out of your hair. In the hotter months humectant draws the moisture in.

Thanks for the responses ladies. I will have to use products without glycerin for now then. I'm really feeling this leave-in, so I'll continue to use it just not during this time.

i think its the glycerin. also its a leave in so i use it on wet hair followed by a moisturizer.

Update:
So today I put Qhemet Detangling Ghee in my hair with some oil and my hair feels so much better. I see that it's definitely the glycerin in the Darcy's leave-in.
