okay i've had cornrows for the past week, and they're starting to ITCH! so i remembered that someone here said that rinsing alleviates the itching, so i rinsed my braids a few minutes ago. bad thing is, now the edges on the front of my head look white-ish!

does anyone know how i can get them to stop looking white?!

Hi Candibaby, sorry you haven't gotten an answer. I wear cornrows a lot too, I just tolerate the itching until wash day. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

yeah it is

but is the white on your scalp..or is it on little strands on your hiar next to where the braid starts?

candi, you might want to go to the bss and get some sulfer 8 braid spray. That works pretty good for a itchy scalp! By the way, are your braids very tight and what are you using on your braids?! The white that you see may be build-up or dead skin.

the white was on my edges, not on my scalp. i figured that it was probably because the girl that did them put conditioning gel on them to make them look smooth. I sprayed some Oil Sheen and put a little bit of grease on them then put my scarf on and went to sleep. Now the whiteness is gone. Thanks anyway ladies

is seabreeze safe to use on relaxed hair? when i asked my stylist if it was safe to use it to clean my scalp when i wear weaves she said no, that it would dry my hair out and my hair would break off. my stylist told me that its only okay for naturals

ive never heard of edges looking white-ish. Is it your hair or scalp looking white? Did u just rinse in plain water or did u use something else? Someone maybe able to answer your questions if you give more info about what you're talking about.
