My $.02.... I've been doing it on dry hair at night and now applying any additional products. Just what was added that morning. I wake up with moist hair, Not sopping wet just moist.
However, last night, I baggied(sp) my just washed hair and and my hair was moist as well. just like I had done previously on dry hair. So to answer your question.... I think it could be done either way. My results were the same. I hope some experts could chime in because this is a very good question and I have only been doing it for about 2 weeks.
i LOVE the baggy method! i always mist with water or sta-sof-fro and seal with grease or oil when i baggy. the moisture level in my hair is partially attributed to this.
I always do it on dry hair because on wet hair it would be too much. I just moisturize and seal with oil
in the morning the hair will be wet from the trapped moisture
Dry hair---I've read baggying wet hair makes it thin overtime. I dont know why But i do it on dry hair because i just want to moisturize my hair really good, when i take it off in the morning if i did my whole head, its moisturized/alitte damp, and it drys back completly in about 30 min. Then its really soft. If i were to do it while wet, i dont think anything would happen except my hair not getting dry, because water alone doesnt moisturize my hair that good, and if its wet your hair is filled primarly with water & wont get all of the moisture your putting on it.
I baggy on hair that is just damp. Meaning, it's not completely damp, but has that soft feeling of dampness. I never baggy with completely wet or completely dry hair. So far it seems like my hair loves it. Been doing it for over a month now, I think.
