Hi Ladies, it's me again. So now that I've mastered taking care of my 4ab hair, and have started to retain length pretty well, I'm here with another question for you ladies.

Every time I twist my hair for a twist out, irrespective of how little tension I apply, my hair gets pretty straight. Now I'm just barely APL( trimmed brutally again) but I never get huge or even big hair, my styles always flop and I end up turning my twistouts into an updo. I used to think my hair was damaged, I am doing everything wrong etc, now I know that's just another wonderful characteristic of my hair. The only time my twistout looks I want it to is when I blow dry first before twisting. I am trying to eliminate heat, so looking for other options.

What am I doing wrong? Does anyone know of any blogs or YouTube videos that I can learn from? Or do I need to get my hair cut into shape?
I guess once my hair is very long I might get the volume I want, what about before then?
Thanks in advance ladies

The shape of your hair could have something to do with it. Density also plays a factor in it. Having layers helps to make your hair look more full.

Naptural85 on youtube is a 4a/4b. But her hair is very dense. I thought I had alot of hair but she has me beat.

My fine hair is alway able to do big hair. I use wax to give my hair some hold. The thing is you have to embrace the frizz.

1.Switch to plaits
2. Do the least amount your hair will allow
3. Finger comb them into the shape you want.

-If you want a smooth defined curl twist out; fine hair is going to hang

i think you might have fine hair.. maybe?!

Well ,i have.fine hair. i can make it look big too.

i did my first rollerset this weekend and it félt more full. i liked it.

then i straightened it and slept in 6 flexi rods.
